Synthroid and Calcium

Time for my anual visit to the oncologist, so he ordered the usual blood tests.

My TSH came back at 2.76... which is a big jump from 1.71 in July.
I know labs aren't perfect...and that's a possibility.

The only conclusion that I could come to was that I have been taking a calcium supplement.

They say don't take it within 4 hours...and I did not.

But I don't know what else to suspect.

Anybody have similar experience?

Wish I knew..can you go back and re-take this exam after at not taking a calcium tab for a day or so????

I can't be of any help, but like Helen suggested, I would ask for a repeat test.

I don’t have any experience with this, no. But I’m wondering about your parathyroids. Do you have any joint pain?

I've had several broken bones from my youth ...and finally a knee replacement. So most of my problems in joint pain were self induced.
I'm going to see my endocrinologist in early January, so I'll talk to him about all this. I "believe" they left my parathyroids intact.
